Photography
In 2023, after completing some complex architectural objects and installations, I longed for more artistic freedom in thinking about and working with space. I started a new body of work of scale models which I photograph at night in my studio. With light settings and a theater backdrop, I explore different atmospheres that the space can perform. Ultimately, I choose the one photograph that I feel captures the genius loci, the spirit of the place.

Steeds weer, steeds weer, vertellen van de dood
Geleidelijk aan ontstaat het heden
Dwars door de tijd heen spelen
De diepte van haar schaduwkant
Het innerlijke geheugen inspecteren
Donkere waterput gedachten
Toevluchtsoord voor een herinnering
