Dit project onderzoekt en demonstreert de juridisch, politiek en sociaal complexe procedures die de Nederlandse ruimtelijke planning uitdagen, door een scenario voor te stellen waarin een groot bouwwerk uit de haven zou losbreken en aan land zou spoelen. Omdat ruimte voor ongeplande transformaties in Nederland zeer schaars is, leek het bijna onmogelijk om een locatie voor het object te vinden, totdat ik een stukje grond vond waarvan de eigenaar niet wist dat hij het bezat.
This project investigates and demonstrates the legally, politically and socially complex procedures that challenges Dutch spatial planning, by proposing a scenario in which a large structure from the harbour would break free and be washed ashore. As room for unplanned transformations is very scarce in The Netherlands, it appeared almost impossible to find a location for the object, until I found a lot of which the owner did not know he owned it.
